DESCRIPTION: APW - Hamilton, Grade 993, 21J, 16S, heavy 14K multicolor gold HC with attractive floral engraving detail, scalloped band, gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, striped pattern nickel damascene, s#1555599. Gross weight of assembled watch 66.7 dwt (103.8 g). This pendant-set version of the Grade 993 is uncommon with a total production of 2000 made. From the collection of Dr. Robert Restuccia.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches, some oxide to winding wheels and regulator assembly; dial with light outer chapter hls below seconds-register at 5:30 and 6, some areas at perimeter with glue residue on surface; fine hands with areas of oxide and finish loss with the most notable being the spade of hour hand; case shows very little wear, crease type denting to areas of cuvette, rear with a mild crease type dent evident to the upper perimeter of its inner surface but with no visibility to the case exterior, excellent engraving detail, case band and bezel have been slotted for a lever set mvt; tight bow, replacement crown is seated a bit high and shows medium wear with ridge break; good glass crystal.
